Terms of service
These terms cover the Game Foundry Portal (play.gamefoundry.ai) and Slices (slices.gamefoundry.ai), both run by Game Foundry AI. By using either service you agree to them.
What these services are
The Portal and Slices let you play browser games made by Game Foundry AI and give feedback on them. Many games are experimental builds released so people can try them and tell us what they think. They can be unfinished, change without notice, be withdrawn, or lose your saved progress.
Who can use what
Anyone can play. Accounts, sharing play data, free-text feedback and ideas, leaderboard names and listed multiplayer rooms are available only to visitors whose age screen shows they meet the minimum age for their region, as explained in the privacy notice. If you are younger, you can still play, in play-only mode. Do not use an age screen to claim an age that is not yours.
How to behave
When you choose a player name, name a room, or write feedback or an idea, do not:
- impersonate another person or organisation, or choose a name meant to deceive;
- use a name, room name or text that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exposes another person’s private information;
- post anything unlawful, or that infringes someone’s rights;
- cheat on leaderboards, use bots or scripts to submit scores or feedback, or try to disrupt the services, probe them for weaknesses, or bypass the limits and the age screen.
We may rename, disable or remove an account, name, room, score or submission, and block access to the services, when we think these rules are broken. Tell us about a problem at /report.html.
Accounts
You sign in with an email code or a passkey. You are responsible for your inbox and your devices. An email sign-in cannot recover or merge a player created with a passkey. You can delete your account at /your-data.html.
What you send us
You keep ownership of the feedback, notes and ideas you send. You give Game Foundry AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, copy, adapt and build on them to run, fix and improve our games and services. We owe you no credit or payment, we are not obliged to use them, and we may make something similar to an idea you send. Only send things you have the right to send, and do not include personal or confidential information.
Your player name and eligible scores can appear publicly on leaderboards. Leaderboard scores come from your browser, are not independently verified, and can be corrected or removed.
Our games and your use of them
The games and the Portal and Slices software belong to Game Foundry AI or are used under licence from third parties, whose credits and licence terms are on Credits and licences. You may play the games for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them, or strip their notices, except as the third-party licences listed on that page allow for the code and assets they cover.
Prizes and competitions
No prizes are offered by the Portal or Slices at this time, and nothing in these terms offers one. If we run a competition, it will have its own official rules published with that competition, and those rules will apply to it.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy notice, and what your browser stores is on Cookies and storage.
No promises about availability
The services and games are provided as they are. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or kept available, or that saved progress or scores will be preserved. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that cannot be limited. To the extent the law allows, Game Foundry AI is not liable for losses arising from your use of free experimental games.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept it. Questions: privacy@gamefoundry.ai.
